The go to market in Delhi for shiny, pretty things, Chandni Chowk (meaning moonlit market) is a dazzling array of beads, sequins, trims, buttons and I felt like Charlie in the chocolate factory. With an impressive history, it was built in the 17th century by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and was once divided by canals to reflect moonlight. The oldest and grandest market in India, Mughal imperial processions used to pass through until 1903. Inspired by the setting and after many hours of rummaging & bargaining I emerged in the moonlight with armfuls of embellishments to adorn our Spring Summer collection.
